Ibotta: An App to Save You Money
I have a friend who is a rather successful couponer. She’s recently introduced me to the app Ibotta for my smartphone. Ibotta is available for both iPhone and Android based smartphones. The app is seriously interesting. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but she uses it often and showed me how it works.
We all have to go shopping, its a fact of life. Grocery shopping is something no one I know can avoid. With the Ibotta app you go through and unlock the rebates you are going to use. It’s like using coupons only you don’t have to mess with printing out coupons or clipping them. Then you go to the store and buy what you are going to buy. If you are shopping at an Ibotta partner store you just have your rewards/loyalty card scanned and it credits to your Ibotta account. If you are shopping elsewhere then you just take a picture of your receipt showing that you bought the items and money is credited to your Ibotta account.
It’s that simple. Since Ibotta pays in real money you can cash it out into your PayPal account when you reach $5 of savings, or you can cash it out in the form of gift cards starting at $2. Earning money back for shopping for items that you need anyways is always a great thing.
How many of you use Ibotta?
